We did a lot of research before purchasing our first far infrared sauna. We have used them elsewhere and were ready to finally put one in our home for daily use! We ordered directly from JNH.Pricewise, JNH really cannot be beat for the quality of product you receive. It's tough to decide if you are going to "get what you pay for" when you see other companies offering apparently the same thing for a few thousand dollars more! After lots of comparison shopping, then speaking with Liz at JNH a few times, we decided to go for it :)First off, JNH's customer service is top notch! I used both live chat via the website and also phone. The rep went out of her way to answer my list of questions and even get me some measurements that weren't included on the website. She was extra friendly and very helpful!Our ENSI 2-person model was shipped in perfect condition. The shipping company they used here in SE Wisconsin was awesome--very friendly, timely and communicative.It took a good hour to unpack and carefully move each piece to our basement. Assembling took probably an hour and could be done by one person but it's easier with two. It was quite simple yet the sauna construction is very sturdy! Our only structural complaint is the bench. It seems a little wiggly and the hardware for attaching the top didn't fit correctly. We did our best to make it work.We love the Canadian Hemlock wood. I did some research on it (since Cedar is usually what people think of in saunas) and it is excellent for indoor saunas. There is only a slight wood odor that I think is pleasant. No chemicals in it so no chemical smell.One of our main requirements was a sauna with very low EMFs. I had noticed other companies offered copies of their EMF certifications on their websites, but JNH told me the Intertek report was confidential so that was a bit of a red flag. Thankfully I happen to have a TriField EMF meter 🙂 JNH's website states the heaters are tested at 0-0.6mG with "0" distance (right up next to it). With the sauna running, at the top of each element it does, in fact, test at less than .6mG. As you move the meter down the element they bump up to about 1.2mG, probably getting higher as it approaches where the power source enters the element. This is why I bumped one star off the rating. The bottom of the 4 upper elements in the sauna is where the main part of your body is, so really you're being exposed to the 1.2mG of EMFs, not the .6mG. (While this is all controversial, most "safe" levels are considered under 1mG.) And while I believe JNH's "zero EMF" guarantee refers to the elements only (and in all honesty, my thoughts are that this is misleading! It is NOT zero EMF. But it is generally pretty low.), be aware that the closer you get to the control panel or the power box, the EMFs are quite high--nearly 500mG for both. My suggestion--if this concerns you, sit mainly on the other side of the sauna! You could also put a huge chunk of smoky quartz or black tourmaline in the sauna to neutralize some of the EMFs. Overall, the EMF levels in the ENSI model are most likely much, much less than other models, which is what we were looking for.We love that the sauna can be plugged in to your normal grounded outlet!The sauna itself works GREAT. The control panel is easy to use. Our purpose for the sauna is for detoxification and relaxation and we are already experiencing plenty of both! Lots of sweating going on :)Even though we purchased the 2-person model, it's not a great fit for two people unless you are very petite. And really, do you want to be touching someone when they are sweating bullets?? Probably not 😉 So in our opinion, the 2-person model is perfect for one person! It gives you a little room to move and stretch out if you prefer.As far as the audio system goes, I have only plugged it into my phone once. It sounded really crackly, but I'm not sure if it was just a bad connection or if the audio system is low quality. For us, that's really not of great concern.It heats up fairly quickly! It is in our basement which is generally 55-60 degrees. In about 10 minutes, the sauna is around 100-105 degrees and we like to get in at that point and warm up with it to about 130.We've been consistently using our ENSI for about two weeks now and just love it. All the elements are working great. It has been an excellent investment! All in all, we are extremely happy with our purchase and will recommend JNH to anyone!
This was one of the best purchases we have made for ourselves. We deliberated for months before making a decision. This works well and doesn't heat up our room due to the infrared heat source. My husband and 16-year old son were able to put this together in a little over an hour. It is well constructed and is a beautiful addition to our home office.
I was initially thinking about building my own IR sauna in order to save money. While investigating the price of heaters, I was swayed to purchase a sauna from JNH Lifestyles due to the incredible list of positive reviews on Amazon and the reasonable price. Thinking the company might be cutting corners (due to the good price) I went online and found information about what to look for in purchasing a sauna (from a competitors website). The JNH saunas stacked up well. They are made from wood that is perfect for IR saunas: kiln dried hemlock and have state of the art, low to no EMF heaters.I ordered my sauna just before closing on a Thursday. It shipped the next day from California and arrived at my home in Phoenix AZ on Monday! Amazingly fast!The shipment came in three boxes strapped to a pallet in a vertical fashion. This means it was over six feet tall. I wish I would have taken a picture of it. I was already impressed with the care JNH had put into making sure it got here in good condition. There was no way it was going to get damaged. It was tied down and wrapped in plastic - labeled on all four sides.The shipping person dropped the pallet/packages onto my driveway and I took a deep breath. I am a fifty-two year old woman and I needed to get all of this into my house by myself without damaging anything. Here are my recommendations if you are doing this yourself: Do not cut anything until you are ready to move it. You will need to hold everything upright while you take off the straps and plastic, then be prepared to gently guide the boxes down to the ground flat.Every box was too heavy for me to move, so I opted to open each one up and take the pieces in separately. The smallest box contains the sauna top and bottom and the heaters. That was easy to unpack. Then next box contained the two sides. The wood is kiln dried and amazingly light weight. When I opened the third box I tried to lift the front panel and was dismayed. The glass door weighs a ton. I called a friend. They were not available.I repacked the third box and gently flipped it over. The back panel was now on top. That was easy to move. Then I was left with the front panel. I didn't want to scratch it or anything so I repacked it into the box and put the box on my dolly to get it closer to the door. Now this box is larger than six foot by four feet so I couldn't use the dolly to get it into the house. I also could not pick up the door (too heavy and too large). So I dollied it to the porch and started sliding it: onto the porch, up the step, turned it on the long side, slid it into the kitchen and into the living room. (Victory dance here!)If you cannot manage the front panel by yourself you can remove the glass door (philips head screwdriver) and then I think it would be light enough to handle.Now I had everything in the house, but I still wasn't sure if I could pick the front panel up to assemble the unit. However, it turned out to be easy. The front panel is the last piece to go together. It only needed to go the inch or two up to sit on the base. Everything is designed to slip together. The whole unit is clipped together with buckles. Amazingly simple and elegant design.I am really impressed with the quality of the construction and design. Everything is sanded smooth and the joints are all tight and without blemish. Excellent craftsmanship!
Great investment, we use a few times a week. Very relaxing, and my skin tone improved.
I have looked for a product like this for a long time. I'm very pleased to find this one with virtually no EMF. I also found the assembly very easy.
A+++ Thanks.
Easy assembly. We hard wired it to the power outlet and everything worked fine. Very relaxing. Highly recommended.
